Deer Stalking & Hunting in Mid Wales  

Fallow Deer at The Criggion Estate, Near Welshpool, Powys

Accompanied by our experienced stalker and gamekeeper Jonathan Archer who is a DSC level 2 Accredited Witness.

Depending upon experience, clients will be taken on to the estate following a short time on the rifle range, for a early morning and/or evening stalk.  This will be on a one to one basis on open hill and forestry.  

Novices to stalking and experienced stalkers are welcome as all aspects of training and advice can be given and this is included in the price.  Estate rifles available for beginners.  The centre is a Training Facility used by The British Deer Society and holds regular training courses for DSC level 1, click on the link www.bds.org.uk for full details.  The next BDS course to be held here is April 2008. 

PRICE PER STALK  £50 -  NO VAT

Success charges are £100 extra per deer, payable directly to the Estate.  

All persons shooting MUST have public liability insurance or be member of one of the various shooting organisations that  include this as part of the membership. (e.g. BASC, CPSA, Countryside Alliance etc).   We cannot accept any bookings from persons not having this insurance    

Proof of valid membership will need to be shown to the keeper on the day
